Silver Screen Studios

Silver Screen Studios is a project of Reboot, created in collaboration with creative partners Tiffany Woolf and Steve Goldbloom.

Originally launched as a pilot docuseries titled “The Last Act,” the project features interviews with legendary seniors like screenwriter Norman Lear, actress Marion Ross, and others who have much to teach about living well while living long – with creativity, spirituality, wit, and wisdom. Silver Screen Studios is a nationwide invitation for everyone to identify their Silver Screen Stars and capture and share their stories. Who around you is aging with wisdom, insight and inspiring wit to share? Add them to the Silver Screen community.

As a member of Reboot’s family of projects, Silver Screen Studios will engage interviewer and subject in dialogue around Jewishness and aging.

The Last Act

The Last Act series explores aging through a Jewish lens by including interviews with rabbis and scholars about what the Torah says about living long with spirituality. You know that Abraham, Noah, and Moses didn’t kick back and retire at 65, right? They embarked on their greatest adventures. If you read the Old Testament literally, Abraham was 75 when he got the call from G-d to journey to Canaan, where he fathered children and lived to be 175. Noah may have been 480 when G-d asked him to build an ark!
